About Project

The society is committed to raising the level of education and literacy in rural India and to helping disadvantaged & under priviledged women and children realize their full potential. Operation Vidya is a small effort to spread literacy in a society where the birthof girls are not appreciated and so they are killed mercilessly, either in the womb or after birth. So expectation for educating girls in such a society will be a far cry. Don’t we feel proud when we say Haryana is a prosperous state? But don’t you think it is rather strange and contradictory that an economically prosperous state like Haryana has such less female literacy rate, which is not even 60%? As per Haryana Population Census data 2011 male literacy is 84.06% and female literacy is just 56.91%. In the 21st century this is enough food for thought.

How can we be prosperous when so many lives are still living in darkness? It is always considered by eminent people that a nation can progress only when both males and females are provided equal opportunity for education and betterment.

Swayamsiddha society through Operation Vidya is trying to help those unfortunate people who are still surrounded by this darkness and sinking in it. Our aim is to bring education to the doorsteps of these unfortunate and deprived people, to teach them that learning has no age, no boundaries. We believe in imparting education for life and so there is no age to begin. The Society in association with GlobeX (A Web Designing Company ), is providing free Computer Education to those who are interested and needy.

The road is long, journey is tedious, but we are determined and our will is strong to turn their dreams into reality. There is no better time in life than the present to do a good work. So join hands with us to bring forth a better tomorrow to the females and turn our state prosperous in the true sense.
